About Igor Tregub
Elected to the Berkeley City Council in 2024, Igor Tregub is an experienced consensus builder who, in just two years, is already delivering real results for Downtown Berkeley.
A community leader in Berkeley for more than 20 years, he is running for re-election to make District 4 and the broader Berkeley community a more affordable, safe, and vibrant place to live and visit. He has a reputation for getting things done.
As Chair of the Alameda County Democratic Party and former Chair of the California Democratic Party’s Environmental Caucus, Igor has worked to bridge divides in the Democratic Party as we elect Democrats up-and-down the ballot who will push back against MAGA extremists and polluting industries.
Prior to his service on the Council, Igor chaired the Berkeley Zoning Adjustments Board, Housing Advisory Commission, Commission on Labor, and three different budget oversight committees.
