Abundance New York✓ EndorsesAbout Joseph Rand
Joe Rand is a results-driven leader with deep community roots and a clear vision for a stronger, safer, and more affordable future for families across our county. Joe has built his career on public service, community leadership, and a proven ability to deliver meaningful change.
As Mayor of Nyack, Joe secured the highly competitive $4.5 million New York Forward grant—one of the largest investments in the village’s history—and won millions more in county, state, and federal funds to revitalize his hometown. And Joe kept the village within the 2% tax cap.
In the private sector, Joe helped grow Rockland’s largest real estate brokerage into one of the most successful real estate companies in New York and one of the largest employers in Rockland County, with over 150 employees and 1,200 agents in the region.
With two degrees from Georgetown University and a degree earned from Stanford Law School, Joe previously served as a federal judicial clerk, litigation attorney, and law professor. He lives in Nyack with his wife, Linie—herself a nonprofit leader—their two children, Jake and Aurelia, and their dog, Bear.
