About Travis Swanson

After earning his Bachelor of Science from the University of Wisconsin - Oshkosh, Travis moved to Washington, D.C., in 2011 to begin his career. He quickly fell in love with the city and decided to put down roots. In 2015, he purchased his first home on 29th Street, S.E., in Randle Highlands. By 2020, he realized he had outgrown that space, but his love for the neighborhood made him determined to stay. Fortunately, he found a new home that met his needs, still within Randle Highlands, and moved to 26th Place, S.E., in 2021.

Since becoming part of the community, Travis has served on the board of the Randle Highlands Citizens' Civic Association. In this role he has worked to strengthen our organization by actively promoting our activities and fostering engagement among both long-time and new residents.

“This is why I believe we must continue to invest in public transit to create a network that is comprehensive, reliable, and affordable.”

“This is why I am a strong propionate for fare-free public transportation, and why in 2022, I authored a resolution to ANC 7B to express our support for the Metro for D.C.”
