EVENT IS FULL - CONTACT José Rodríguez (joss.rdgz@gmail.com) FOR QUESTIONS Join Strong SacTown for a tour of SacSewer EchoWater Resource Recovery Facility Tour on Saturday, August 9th from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm at 8521 Laguna Station Rd., Sacramento, CA 95758 (See it in the Map) Fill out the interest form to join Strong SacTown on this tour: The Sacramento Area Sewer District (SacSewer) is the Sacramento region’s largest sewage collection, treatment, and resource recovery utility–providing service to more than 1.6 million people. Is the second largest sewage collection utility in California, and owns and operates the second largest water resource recovery facility of its kind in the nation, the EchoWater Resource Recovery Facility! The EchoWater Project is responsible for removing 99 percent of ammonia and 89 percent of nitrogen, addressing concerns about possible impacts downstream. The tour is 3 hours total, including a classroom presentation (60 minutes). Please consider the following before signing up: Myself and my guests are able to stand for at least 50 minutes and able to walk through tunnels, stairs, and uneven surfaces Closed-toed shoes are required as tour groups will be walking through industrial areas. Children under 12 are not permitted on public tours; an adult must accompany tour participants who are minors. Myself and my guests will need to dress in comfortable clothing and wear flat, closed-toed shoes (no high-heels allowed The tour length is a total of three hours Please arrive 10 to 15 minutes early minutes to allow time to enter the facility and check-in through our security gate so that we may promptly begin at the start of the hour.
